Ramrod Field Management · last updated 21 August 2026
The short version. If you asked a service business to repair
something, they text you about that repair through Ramrod — when
they are coming, when they are on the way, and when it is done.
Nothing else. Reply STOP to any message and the texts
stop.
Who is texting you
Ramrod Field Management is scheduling and dispatch software for service businesses — appliance repair, HVAC, plumbing and similar trades. We do not repair anything ourselves. The business you called does, and Ramrod is what they use to book your visit, route the technician and keep you told.
So the texts come from Ramrod's system on that business's behalf, and every message names the business by name — the company you actually hired, not just the software. If you are not sure who a message is from, the name at the front of it is your answer.
Ramrod Field Management is operated by ARES LLC, an Oklahoma limited liability company, which is the contracting and tax entity behind the platform.
What messages you will receive
- Booking confirmation — the date and the two-hour arrival window, sent when your visit is scheduled.
- Morning-of reminder — a reminder on the day of the visit.
- On the way — sent when the technician sets off, with a link to track your place in the day's queue.
- Schedule changes — if your visit is moved or cancelled.
- Quotes and approvals — when a repair needs your approval before the work goes ahead.
- Completion and payment — when the work is finished, and a secure link to pay if you owe the business directly.
- Replies — if you text back with a question, someone answers it.
No marketing, no promotions, no offers by text — not from Ramrod and not from a business using it.
About the links in our messages
Links we send are short, and they are on our own address: something like
app.ramrodfsm.com/track/K7RM-9TQX or
app.ramrodfsm.com/pay/9TQX-K7RM. The word after the slash
tells you what it opens before you open it. We do not use link shorteners
and we do not send long strings of random characters, because a link you
are afraid to tap is a link that did not work.
Links expire. If one has gone stale, reply to the message or call the business and they will send a fresh one.
How you consented
Your number reached the system one of three ways: you called the business and asked for service; you filled in a booking request on their website; or a manufacturer or warranty provider dispatched the repair on your behalf and supplied your contact number with the work order. In every case the number is used only for the service call it was given for.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies by job. A typical repair generates two to five messages. A repair that needs a part, a reschedule, or a second visit may generate more. No recurring messages are sent after a job is closed.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any message and texting to that number stops
immediately. You will get one confirmation that it was received, and
nothing after that. Reply START to turn messages back on.
Reply HELP, or call the business, for help.
Opting out of texts does not cancel your repair — the business will reach you by phone instead.
Cost
There is no charge for these messages. Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier, depending on your plan.
Carriers
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is not guaranteed on every network or device.
Quiet hours
Messages generated outside reasonable hours are held and sent in the morning, in your local time. An arrival window generated at 6am is still wanted at 8am; a text at 6am is not.
